Event 1 Champion

Amir Baron won $15,500 when he defeated Robin K heads up in the PPC Aruba Event 1!

Full listing of all the results of Event 1 shortly.

Event 1 Champion Amir Baron

Amir Baron, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the winner of the first event of the PPC Aruba World Championship, the $550 buy-in $40,000 guarantee prize pool. With 94 entrants, he took down $15,500 of the $45,590 total prize pool.

The winner had won his way here in South Florida bar poker league All In Free Poker, which awarded him with a $2,500 prize package. For more information on this league, go to http://allinfreepoker.com.

Congrats to Amir!

The Final Table is set and we’re one player from the money in the PPC Aruba World Championship Event #1 $550 buy-in $40,000 guarantee prize pool.  There were 94 total entries and a prize pool of $45,590.

The Final Table participants are:

Seat 1 – Haley Taylor; Tampa, Florida; 56,000 chips

Seat 2 – Charles Pearson; Jessup, Maryland; 35,000 chips

Seat 3 – Ryan Franklin; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; 36,000 chips

Seat 4 – Robin K; Hamburg, Germany; 230,000 chips

Seat 5 – Jeff Tomlinson; Vero Beach, Florida; 135,000 chips

Seat 6 – John McCann; Garnett Valley, Pennsylvania; 63,500 Chips

Seat 7 – Amir Baron; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; 68,000 Chips

Seat 8 – Lisa Hawkes; Swindon, England; 110,000 Chips

Seat 9 – Riangelo De Cuba; Curacao; 42,000 Chips

Seat 10 – Ronald Prieto; Venezuala; 160,000 Chips

Riangelo started the day as chip leader with 128,800 chips.  However, he was called away prior the start of the day and has been blinded down to the edge of the money.

Also, the $220 buy-in Event #2 PLO tourney is underway with 22 entries so far and registration remaining open until 9:30pm.

At 9pm, the 3rd of four Main Event Satellites will run.  It is a $270 buy-in and a seat to Day 1A of the PPC Aruba World Championship Main Event will be awarded for every 10 entries.

Tons of great action here, so come on down!

The second of four nights of satellites produced 2 more seats to the PPC Aruba World Championship $2,500 buy-in $200,000 guarantee Main Event.  The two players to win there seats are: Vincenti Cham and Tim Shortell

The ending was insane.  The gentleman who finished in third place called Vincenti’s small blind all-in raise and was covered.  The 3rd place finisher called with two red Queens and was a favorite over Vincenti’s Ks Jc.  The flop rolled out Ace King Ten all of clubs pushing VIncenti into a massive favorite.  The turn brought hope to the other gentlemen with the Ace of Spades.  Needing the Queen of Spades, instead, the Queen of Clubs was the river and his full house was annihilated by Vincenti’s Royal Flush!

Tim and Vincenti celebrated their Main Event satellites while many pictures were taken of the exotic board.
